Book A Move: Our First Book Drive
There is no friend as loyal as a book.”- Ernest Hemingway
Well, rightly so! Kartavya foundation has been successful in hosting its Education oriented event, BOOK A MOVE. We conducted a mass book drive at Government Higher Primary School in Mahadevpura, Whitefield, Bangalore.

Books were distributed to the bright minds, and we educated them on the importance of developing reading as a habit. We feel triumphant as we support the cause of education, and hope to enlighten the society with our future endeavors.
Mr. Muniraju, head of the village Zilla Panchayat, was the Chief guest at this event. Over 200 children participated and were given books across all the different genres like Fiction, non-fiction, digests, autobiographies and more.

Book drives are a fun way to give back to
Good way to recycle gently used books:
Hosting a book drive helps in reusing old books and putting them to good use. Knowledge is passed on and on. By donating books we are gifting education to others.
Encouraging young ones to read:

In this era of technology, it is hard to keep reading alive. Smartphones and laptops have sucked the souls of youth and made them slaves to the internet. It is in this hour that we need to develop reading habits more than ever.
Develop a community around Book reading:
Donating used old books is a good way to connect with strangers. Book clubs can help you find like minded friends or also make friends with your donors.
